一起走進如詩如畫的南澳德國村

一起走進如詩如畫的南澳德國村(Hahndrof)，跟屁蟲的我跟著室友一起從墨爾本出發，開車約莫七小時，抵達阿德雷德市中心，途中我一直以為阿德雷德會是很偏僻的地方，殊不知市區很繁華甚至比墨爾本還要大，最讓我意外的是竟然有超多台摩托車，一瞬間以為我正在台北的街道!

Venturing into the picturesque South Australian German village of Hahndorf was a spontaneous decision as I joined my roommates on a road trip from Melbourne. The seven-hour drive led us to the heart of Adelaide, a city I'd presumed to be remote. Contrary to my expectations, Adelaide's city center was bustling, even larger than Melbourne. What caught me off guard was the abundance of motorcycles; for a moment, I felt like I was navigating the streets of Taipei! The journey was an unexpected blend of countryside charm and urban surprises.

畢竟在澳洲摩托車是非常稀少並且昂貴，二手車都是比摩托車便宜，當下的我就是劉姥姥進大觀園。目瞪口呆的看著這繁華的城市發呆。

Given that motorcycles are quite rare and expensive in Australia, with even used cars being cheaper than motorcycles, I felt like a country bumpkin stepping into a grand mansion. I stood there dumbfounded, gazing at the bustling city.

短暫在阿德雷德市區停留之後就出發抵達德國村(Hahndrof)，一下車的空氣就比城市中的新鮮，午時的太陽讓照片拍起來都很美，照片不僅都沒有修圖，用原始相機隨便拍攝都像一張美景，聽人家說是因為澳洲的緯度的關係，所以拍起來會特別乾淨特別美。

"After a brief stop in Adelaide's city center, we headed straight to Hahndorf, the German village. The air felt instantly fresher upon stepping out of the car compared to the city. The midday sun made every photo look stunning; these pictures, unedited and casually snapped with a basic camera, resembled beautiful landscapes. I've heard it's due to Australia's latitude that capturing images here results in exceptional clarity and beauty."

走在德國村的街道上偶爾還會傳來餐廳裏頭播放的音樂，腳步跟心情都非常愜意。

"Strolling along the streets of the German village, you occasionally catch strains of music playing from the restaurants, creating a delightful rhythm that matches the mood perfectly."

這裡有一個紀念公園是專門紀念一位船長，而德國村Hahndrof就是以這位船長Dirk Meinerts Hahn的名字去命名的，在紀念公園裡就可以看到船長的雕塑。

"This area hosts a memorial park dedicated to a captain, and the German village of Hahndorf itself is named after this captain, Dirk Meinerts Hahn. Within the memorial park, you can find a sculpture honoring the captain."

德國村也有一百多年的歷史了，也是澳洲最古老的德國移民居住地。

"The German village also boasts a history of over a hundred years, marking it as one of Australia's oldest settlements for German immigrants."

紀念公園沒有什麼好逛，除了雕塑之外就是一個公園的概念。停留時間大概三分鐘結束。

"The memorial park isn't much to explore; aside from the sculptures, it's more of a typical park setting. We spent about three minutes there before moving on."

德國村的路燈上都有這個可愛的旗幟，圖案的顏色就跟街上的樹上的葉子顏色一樣。

"The streetlights in the German village all have these adorable flags, and the colors of the pattern match the leaves on the trees along the streets."

而我們三月去的時候剛好是澳洲的秋天，剛好可以看到街邊的樹是呈現楓紅色夾雜一點橘，更特別的是上網查了一下，如果是夏季樹木的葉子是綠色時，街道的旗幟LOGO顏色也會是綠色，這種細節讓我覺得他們真的好用心哦。

"When we visited in March, it happened to be autumn in Australia, so we got to see the trees along the streets displaying shades of maple red with hints of orange. What's even more special, I looked it up online, during the summer when the leaves on the trees are green, the street flag logos also match in green. It's these kinds of details that make me feel they put a lot of thought into it."

這裡的建築也都是有一百年的歷史，走在街道上就重回19世紀的感覺。

"The buildings here also have a hundred years of history, walking on the streets feels like stepping back into the 19th century."

在澳洲旅遊真的很多地方都會努力保留古蹟，反而台灣的三合院很多都是被拆除蓋新大樓，少了好多文化的傳承，真的非常可惜。

"In Australia, there's a lot of effort made to preserve historical sites while, on the contrary, many traditional Taiwanese courtyard houses ('sanheyuan') are often demolished to build new skyscrapers, leading to a loss of cultural heritage. It's a real pity."

終於走到了餐廳，一家叫做German Arms Hotel的餐廳，心裡掛念著一定要喝看看德國黑啤酒跟品嘗德國豬腳，餐廳的空間非常的大，主要都是以木頭為主的風格，走在地板上還會發出嘎吱的聲響，加上中午用餐時間餐廳人聲鼎沸，真的就像走入了一個當地的德國餐酒館裡。

"Finally arrived at the restaurant, a place called the German Arms Hotel. I was eager to try some German black beer and taste the German pork knuckle. The restaurant space was incredibly vast, predominantly styled with wood. Walking on the floor produced creaking sounds, and amidst the bustling lunchtime crowd, it truly felt like stepping into a local German tavern."

三月的天氣還是有些冷，餐廳裡頭都會供應暖氣(黑色的烤爐裝置)，常常我們的穿著就是短袖搭配上外套就出門，到了餐廳脫掉外套就剛剛好。甚至戶外也有戶外專屬的暖爐，超級喜歡這樣的貼心設計。

"In March, the weather was still a bit chilly, but the restaurant had heating (black heaters) installed. Often, we'd wear short sleeves with a jacket when heading out, but upon entering the restaurant, taking off the jacket was just right. There were even outdoor heaters, which I absolutely loved about their thoughtful setup."

首先大家一起點了德國黑啤酒。HB藍色的牌子是德國的慕尼黑啤酒，這裡的餐廳幾乎都是這個品牌，甚至還有些小店會販售啤酒玻璃杯，都是特別的款式或是更古老的造型可以買回家當紀念，沒有拍照是有些店家是禁止攝影的哦!

"Firstly, we all ordered the German black beer. The HB blue logo represents Munich beer from Germany, and almost every restaurant here serves this brand. Some small shops even sell beer glasses with special or older styles that you can take home as souvenirs. However, do note that in some places, photography might be prohibited!"

想在這裡留作紀念一個德國的啤酒玻璃杯很適合收藏或是送人。

"Keeping a German beer glass as a souvenir here would be perfect for collecting or gifting."

德國黑啤酒喝起來小麥的味道很香，有點像是台灣的黑麥汁加氣泡水，酒精濃度也沒有很高，也沒有什麼苦味，我自己是很推薦喝喝看，因為配上豬腳與薯條真的好搭。

"The German black beer has a fragrant taste of wheat, somewhat like Taiwan's dark malt juice mixed with sparkling water. It's not very high in alcohol content and lacks bitterness. Personally, I highly recommend trying it, especially paired with pork knuckle and fries, as they complement each other really well."

大家一起乾杯來開啟這段德國的旅程，等待餐點上桌。

"Cheers to kick off this German journey together while we wait for our meals to arrive."

首先必點的豬腳非常大份，酥脆的外皮裡頭的肉是超級軟嫩，不太需要咬就會化開，底下鋪墊的是很綿密的馬鈴薯泥，還有紫色的酸菜外加上搭配芥末子醬上面真的有芥末子或是像是BBQ偏甜的烤肉醬一起食用。都非常好吃，豬腳的肉質跟膠質現在還是念念不忘。

"The must-try pork knuckle was enormous, with a crispy outer layer and incredibly tender meat inside that practically melted in the mouth without much chewing. It sat atop a bed of creamy mashed potatoes, accompanied by purple sauerkraut and a mustard sauce, which had whole mustard seeds or a slightly sweet BBQ-like sauce on top. Everything was delicious, and the texture and taste of the pork knuckle meat are still unforgettable."

我們還有點烤豬肋排，底層是現炸薯條搭配一小碗的沙拉解膩，也是很好吃，肋排骨肉分離不會太難咬，跟我在黃金海岸吃的豬肋排是差不多的好吃，薯條的份量也是很足，剛上桌一定要先吃炸好的薯條，會一根接著一根。

"We also ordered some grilled pork ribs, served with freshly fried potato chips at the bottom and a small bowl of salad to balance the flavors, which were also delicious. The rib meat came off the bone easily without being too tough, similar to the ones I had on the Gold Coast. The portion of chips was generous, and as soon as it arrived, we couldn't resist starting with those crispy fries, one after another."

如果是吃不慣的各位，可以像友人一樣自備台灣的黑胡椒鹽放在包包以備不時之需。從包包拿出來實在是太荒謬了！

"If any of you aren't accustomed to the food here, you can bring Taiwanese black pepper salt in your bags, just like a friend would, for any unexpected situations. Taking it out from your bag might seem quite absurd!"

吃飽喝足就準備出去散步一下，走著走著發現街道上看到房子上會有一隻像是老鷹的圖案是屬於德國的標誌。

"After a satisfying meal, we prepared to take a walk. As we strolled along, we noticed houses with an emblem resembling an eagle, which is a symbol of Germany."

德國村街道有許多特色小店可以逛，比較特別的商店應該屬於這一間小餐廳，連樓梯都是漆成國旗的顏色。

"The streets of the German village host many unique shops to explore, but one particularly standout place is this small restaurant where even the staircase is painted in the colors of the national flag."

只可惜我們已經吃飽了，不然很想喝看看德國咖啡，不知道會不會很苦。就像前面有說到有些店家裏頭是禁止拍照，門上會貼上禁止攝影的標誌，所以要特別注意唷！

"It's a pity we're already full, or else I'd love to try some German coffee, although I wonder if it might be too bitter. Just like mentioned earlier, some places prohibit photography inside, and they have signs on the door indicating 'No Photography,' so it's essential to be mindful!"

也有布置成像童話故事的小店，不只買了德國村莊的圖案的桌巾還有蠟燭跟香氛噴霧，味道都很好聞製作的材料都是純天然，喜歡幫生活增加一點色彩的各位很適合來這裡添購一些小物。

"There are also shops designed like fairy tales. I not only bought tablecloths with the patterns of the German village but also candles and scented sprays. They all smell fantastic, made from entirely natural materials. For those who like to add a splash of color to life, this place is perfect for purchasing some charming items."

這家也是德式餐廳，滿多選擇的所以不用擔心來會吃不到德國豬腳。

"This restaurant is also German-themed and offers a wide variety, so no need to worry about missing out on German pork knuckle if you come here."

遠遠就看到這跟熱狗，這間就是很有名的Wunderbar Dog Haus德式的熱狗堡餐廳，中午時段非常多人，下次如果有機會的話再來嘗試吃看看，畢竟中午的美食太好吃不小心吃得太飽了。

"From a distance, you can spot this hot dog joint called the Wunderbar Dog Haus, famous for its German-style hot dogs. It was crowded during lunchtime, so maybe next time I'll have the chance to try it out. After all, the midday food was so delicious that it was easy to accidentally overeat!"

不過澳洲賣的熱狗腥味都偏重，甚至超市賣的熱狗雖然長得像7-11賣的熱狗，但是吃起來的味道差超多，肉味實在太重以至於我比較少會吃熱狗製品。

"However, the hot dogs sold in Australia tend to have a strong gamey taste. Even the ones you find in supermarkets that might look like the ones sold at 7-Eleven taste completely different. The meat flavor is too intense, which is why I tend to avoid hot dog products here."

不過這間有名德國熱狗味道應該很不錯所以才這麼多人願意排隊購買。

"However, this renowned German hot dog place must have a great taste, which is why so many people are willing to queue up to buy it."

秋天的天氣走在街道上真的很舒服，看著都是楓紅的樹木還停著兩輛紅色的車，街與景搭配的很有默契。

"The autumn weather makes walking on the streets really comfortable. The sight of maple trees with their red leaves and two parked red cars creates a beautiful harmony between the street and the scenery."

澳洲真的許多地方都會有藝廊，都有自己的特色。喜歡藝術的人來到澳洲真的會看見很多很棒的藝術創作，無倫是小眾的藝廊或是美術館都有各自有自己的藝術氣息。

"Australia indeed boasts numerous galleries, each with its unique characteristics. Art enthusiasts visiting Australia will encounter a plethora of amazing artistic creations. Whether it's lesser-known galleries or established art museums, each carries its distinct artistic vibe."

Hahndorf Academy 也是保留著19世紀的建築，我個人認為這裡的風格比較偏向當代藝術，屬於比較前衛跟年輕化的藝術品。

"The Hahndorf Academy also preserves 19th-century architecture. Personally, I find the style here leans more towards contemporary art, featuring avant-garde and youthful artistic works."

喜歡藝術或是歷史的朋友真的非常推薦這裡。

"Highly recommended for friends who enjoy art or history."

這棟建築除了畫廊還有德國的移民博物館，可以看見他們對於宗教和教育的一些相關物品。

例如這裡是一間學習語言的教室，可以重溫學生時光練習在黑板上寫字之外，還可以看到小朋友在這裡留下的可愛塗鴉。

"This building houses not only a gallery but also the German Migration Museum, showcasing various items related to their religious and educational practices. For instance, this is a language learning classroom where visitors can revisit the student days by practicing writing on the blackboard. Additionally, one can find adorable doodles left behind by children, adding a charming touch."

整個德國村結束後時間也差不多傍晚準備回程，決定去看位在Kingston SE金斯頓小鎮又稱「龍蝦鎮」，遠遠就看見一隻巨大龍蝦的雕塑，總高竟然有17公尺高。

"After concluding the visit to the entire German village, it was nearly evening, and we decided to head towards Kingston SE, also known as 'Lobster Town.' From a distance, we spotted a colossal lobster sculpture towering at a staggering height of 17 meters."

雖然抵達的時候懷疑確定是這個地方嗎?

"Even though there might have been doubts upon arrival, was it eventually confirmed that it was indeed the intended destination?"

除了沒什麼人之外旁邊的餐廳也顯得有些冷清，也許是因為時間太晚店家已經準備打烊了。走進餐廳裡想著一定要吃這裡著名的龍蝦，結果完全沒有龍蝦可以吃，餐廳裏頭比較像是台灣休息站會出現的餐飲店，有些失望只好走出店家來跟巨無霸龍蝦合照一張。

Besides the lack of people, the nearby restaurant seemed a bit deserted, perhaps because it was getting late and the establishment was preparing to close. Upon entering the restaurant, with high hopes of trying their famous lobster, there was none available. The ambiance inside was more like the eateries one might find at a Taiwanese rest stop. Disappointed, we stepped out and took a photo with the giant lobster sculpture instead.

最終我們一群人在路邊找到了唯一一家的中華料理店，因為來了三四天都是吃西式，於是點了炒青菜還有炒飯類等中式料理，每個人吃了的感想是好好吃哦!

In the end, our group stumbled upon the only Chinese restaurant nearby. After having had Western food for three or four days straight, we decided to order some Chinese dishes like stir-fried vegetables and fried rice. Everyone's consensus after eating was that it was delicious!

因為我們還是比較習慣吃中式料理。

Because we are more accustomed to eating Chinese cuisine.

吃飽喝足就準備一口氣回墨爾本，當時七、八點的時候已經天黑了，夕陽剛落下的景色真的很難忘，加上路上是完全沒有路燈顯得窗外的的景色更加地讓人沉醉。

"After a satisfying meal, we prepared to head back to Melbourne in one go. By seven or eight in the evening, the sky had already darkened. The scenery right after sunset was truly unforgettable, especially with no streetlights along the way, making the outside view even more captivating."

車上播放著林宥嘉的歌，為南澳的旅途寫下一個美好的句點。

"The car played songs by Yoga Lin, marking a beautiful end to our journey through South Australia."

辛苦了兩位室友一路開車，開到一半突然發現外面的星星好亮，於是我們停下車三個人一起下車看星星，在那個沒有光害的地方肉眼就能看見小銀河，但外面太黑我當時是有點害怕，因為耳邊一直聽到動物跑來跑去的聲音卻伸手不見五指的黑，幸好只有短暫停留就上車回家了。

"The two roommates worked hard driving the entire way. Midway, we suddenly noticed how bright the stars were outside. Consequently, we decided to stop the car and the three of us got out to stargaze. In that area with no light pollution, we could see the Milky Way with the naked eye. However, it was so dark outside that I felt a bit scared at the time, especially as I could hear animals running around while being surrounded by pitch-black darkness. Luckily, our brief stop ended, and we got back into the car and headed home."
