The Rose St. Artists' Market

If you want to participate in the Australian art market or set up a stall, I can recommend these two places.

The last article was an introduction to The Rose St. Artists' Market Rose Art Market.

I have been here before participating in this market, and I immediately fell in love with this place.

The Rose St. Artists' Market

Unlike other markets, the stalls here do not sell food, except for the restaurant and the top-floor bar opened by the owner himself.

The Rose St. Artists' Market will only have handmade products or small creations designed by yourself. It is very suitable for friends who like art and want to make a special trip to visit.

First of all, to participate in this market, you can sign up on their official website:

You can choose the plan you want in the menu, but it seems that they are all full.

The rental price falls between 65AUD~89AUD. Depending on which plan you choose, the price is different. For details, you can enter the website to see.

The registration method is very simple, everything can be operated on the computer, and if you have any questions, you can also write to ask and you will receive a reply soon. Including at that time, after all, I wrote letters and asked a lot of questions when I participated for the first time.

For example, the location of my booth and credit card issues. After all, few people in Australia use cash and most of them pay with debit cards or credit cards, so it is more convenient to have a credit card machine, and then apply for payment with the organizer afterwards.

The plan I chose was a one-day plan. Having never participated in a market, I decided to complete one of my goals in Australia here.

Afraid of being late, I arrived on time at eight o'clock in the morning, but I didn't know that the gate hadn't been opened yet, and there were two girls waiting with us who were also Asian.

I was very surprised, because most of the faces in the market were European and American, and I hardly saw Asians, so I summoned up the courage to say hello to them, and found that they can also speak Chinese. Although they are not from the same country as me, they can also speak Chinese. Soothes my tension.

After we arrived, we simply said good morning to the organizer, and then went to register and sign. After finding our name, we still didn’t know where the area 17 was. The organizer kindly led us to our location.

At that time, I only sold postcards, so there were not many products.

The tables and small wooden cabinets in the market are provided free of charge, and you can bring your own if you have them. Those who don’t have one like me can go to the warehouse to get the props they need, and remember to return them to the organizer after the end.

After the props are complete, you can start to display your own creations.

Writing some small slogans.

Including that I am from Taiwan is also included, in order to let people here know more about Taiwan, I also did a small activity that day.

That day, I sent many postcards of "Taipei 101", the most representative building in Taiwan, and my neighbors forced me to give them to them. They are very nice and enthusiastic. I didn't expect many people to know about Taipei 101, which really surprised me.

There was also a girl who was stunned for a while and then started chatting with her when she passed by my booth. It turned out that she is also Taiwanese. She said that she was wondering why the illustration of Taiwan 101 appeared here, and she found it incredible. We chatted a lot, and I also sent her a postcard. I really like this kind of communication and interaction.

Just because most of the guests are English-speaking, there are short English introductions written on the back of the postcards I show, hoping that they can also understand the short stories of my illustrations.

My first bazaar income.

In fact, I don’t remember how many copies I sold that day. I just think that what I got from participating in this event was more than anything else. It was very fun and I got to know other creators and got a lot of compliments. This has also become a thing I still like to do. Motivation to keep drawing.

As the end is coming to an end, the organizer will go to each booth and ask if today is fun? I can only say that it is really worth coming.

Participating in the market also met different creators. This bookmark is a woodcarving work created by two girls who arrived early with us at the beginning. We exchanged gifts with each other. The main works are carvings of Australian buildings or distinctive Melbourne tram.

The event ended at about four in the afternoon, starting at 10 in the morning and ending at 4 in the afternoon. When you're done, just put things back in their place and you can just leave. It's easy to join in and get a happy ending.

It is highly recommended whether it is for people who come to shop or participate in the market, it is a five-star choice.

Because I also bought a lot of cute little things here.

Lucky Bum。

And this cute little pin. Lucky Bum.
